Gender and racial discrimination, surveillance, exploitation and so forth are only effects. The real problem is – that it is possible to suppress the people by false Science or false descriptions of the world – that supports Might Is Right. Or like this. We are not genuine citizens.

The current culture of the West is based on that you can only be an obedient soldier as anything else is made mystical

With English subtitles.

Triumph of the Will (1935) by Leni Riefenstahl (1902–2003) is one of the major achievements of the current culture of the West.

Despite the poor quality of the public copies I assume that any, absolutely any viewer, can only fall directly into the emotions that Riefenstahl wanted to incite.

This also means, the more you fight back the emotions to be a part of the Nazi movement; the more you make it impossible to understand in concrete terms WHY this true masterpiece of propaganda is so powerful.

In short the film unlocks and expose in full vigour the training of the citizens that they can only obey or be like soldiers as anything else is made mystical.

Consequently the total harmony, the total power, the only possible aspiration in life is to be united with your fellow soldiers.

To be a soldier among other soldiers is the only possible ideal of the current culture of the West. Even if it at the moment is not correct to worship open totalitarianism.

And of course to be restricted to obey is just to full fill your duties.

Brunhilde Pomsel says 'We knew nothing': Joseph Goebbels' former secretary says it was 'just another job', David Lawler, The Telegraph, 17 August 2016.

The defence of to accept to be a soldier that can only obey is also a major theme of Hannah Arendt (1906–1975) that call the acceptance "the banality of evil".

It is of course easy to brush off Triumph of the Will as an old and uninteresting example. But the daily training of you to be an obedient soldier goes on everywhere all the time.

Here are two examples, from a major news media, of the daily training of you to be an obedient soldier presented as advice on how to be successful.

Why you don’t want a nice boss, Sydney Finkelstein, BBC, 25 August 2016.
Just because a boss is nice, doesn’t mean he or she is any good. A tough, demanding manager will push you to do your best work.
In Depth Psychology: Why we should celebrate shyness, David Robson, BBC, 31 August 2016.
From Agatha Christie and Charles Darwin to Keira Knightley, Francoise Hardy and Morrissey, the socially awkward and anxious have changed the world for the better. Have we forgotten the benefits of being shy?
Sure, to be successful demands to be shy! The arguments to be stupid and obedient are bound to be hilarious. And remember this crap is presented as to be Science.

So, when the people are trained daily to follow totalitarian ideals it is not so strange that many dream of the total harmony of a totalitarian State.

The new film about Snowden highlight the TWO separate forms patriotism

Today I got a perfect intro to one of the new chapters I work on.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt that plays the title role in Snowden (2016), directed by Oliver Stone, says this about the film.
It shows two different kinds of patriotism - there's the one where you're allegiant to your country no matter what. You don't ask any questions.

But there's another kind of patriotism that is what I really wanted to show.

The kind that he grows into over the course of the nine years we see in this story, where he does ask questions.
From Toronto 2016: Snowden explores 'secret underworld' says Oliver Stone , Tim Masters, BBC, 10 September 2016.

Or like this. Patriotism is defined by Merriam-Webster as “love for or devotion to one's country” can in fact only be interpreted in the current Western culture as to obey your superiors.

And of course, therefore is it today – in the ongoing breakdown of the established Static ideals – extremely essential to underline that there are TWO different forms of patriotism; not one.

Perhaps it is a good idea to not use the word patriotism at all as it includes the Latin word "pater" that means father and directly refers to the idea of a hierarchical, top down, society.

The on going (almost hidden) crisis of the West presented in the metaphor of Israel - Listen to be prepared

Torah and Tech in Israel by BBC's Assignment, produced by James Fletcher, official broadcast date 12 September 2016, is a perfect illustration of the ongoing crisis of the whole Western world if you just change the context you have it all there.

Like this.

The Orthodox is the Academic tradition that protects hidden religious rules and the young entrepreneurs wants to be free of religious ideas that prevent concrete understanding and to create the next step.

All in all this programme tells a lot of today and what we can expect to happen.

A perfect list of confusing stuff that happens right now

With confusing I of course address how it must be according to the usual and official Static standards of the current culture of the West.

The highly interesting list with lots of links, dated 31 August 2016,  is made by John Thackara and he calls it: The 72 most cheering things I learned on my book tour.
